23 New Various Vacancies at Lushoto District Council

Courage to bring about development began immediately after the demolition of the pre-independence colonial administration known as the “province”, which included Korogwe, Handeni, Kilindi, Same, and Mwanga districts. The first realization of the requirements of local government legislation of 1962 Article 333 passed by the Tanganyika Parliament at the time. and gave birth to two Lushoto and Bumbuli Councils in 2013.

Lushoto Council is located north of Tanga Region between Latitude 4 25′-4 55 ‘south of the Equator and Longitude 30 10′-38 35’ East of the main Longitude. Geographically the district is bordered by Kenya to the northeast, Same District (Kilimanjaro Region North West, Korogwe District South, Bumbuli Council South East, Far East Bordered by Muheza and Mkinga

Lushoto Council covers an area of 2,300 square kilometers (227,371.43 hectares) equivalent to 8.41 percent of the total area of Tanga region

The Council consists of 5 Divisions, Ward 33, 125 villages and 948 Suburbs. The council is divided into two constituencies, Lushoto and Mlalo. Lushoto Council Demographics was growing in size from 2002 from 279,096 to 332,436 in 2012, In the 2002 census the Council had a population of 279,096 (125,353 male) and (153,743 women) in the 2012 census excluding Bumbuli Council of Lushoto has a population of 332,436 (153,847 males and 178,589 females
